ABOUT DMEABS

DMEABS Singapore (Diploma Marine Engineering Association Bangladesh) is a professional association representing BIMT marine engineering graduates working in Singapore. The organization brings together diploma marine engineers to promote professional networking, technical collaboration, and community support within the marine and offshore industry.

The association consists primarily of alumni from the Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology (BIMT), a government-level marine engineering institute established in 1958 to support the development of skilled manpower for inland and ocean-going vessel operations. BIMT has played a significant role in advancing Bangladesh’s maritime sector by providing diploma and trade-based technical education in marine engineering disciplines.

Through its members, DMEABS Singapore contributes to the marine engineering workforce in Singapore by encouraging knowledge exchange, professional growth, and strong community ties among BIMT graduates.
